Forrester Consulting analysts estimate the average benefits of implementing the UiPath RPA platform in organisations – surveyed as part of the Total Economic Impact™ methodology – at $12 million. Of course, this is not all: their productivity has also skyrocketed, the implementation of projects has accelerated, and the number of errors has been significantly decreased.
For years, Robotic Process Automation technology providers have argued that automation had the potential to unlock true business value in virtually every organisation. Thanks to Forrester analysts, we now have evidence in the form of specific numbers obtained on the basis of an analysis of the financial impact of investments in automation using the technology of a market leader – the company UiPath, which commissioned Forrester to conduct objective research recognised in the market. Forrester analysts collected data from many different businesses, analysing all the costs and benefits, as well as the risks associated with the implementation of the UiPath platform.
So is it worth investing in UiPath automation? The test results speak for themselves. The Total Economic Impact™ of UiPath Automation report finds, among others, that by using RPA software robots to carry out tasks that were historically performed manually by people, users managed to free hundreds of thousands of work hours per year – due to the decrease of time-consuming, burdensome for people and error-laden work that employees simply hate. Reducing the number of errors as a result of RPA implementation is another significant benefit. Many of the eliminated errors, if not for RPA, would probably have slipped by unnoticed. Finally, it was possible to accelerate the implementation of projects by 50% and sometimes even more. Forrester analysts estimate that up to 97% ROI can be achieved within three years.
